This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. There is one tiny fissure on the edge of the narrower cross-cut section. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the bark is beige-brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
