Every single piece is unique in character with its own colouration, shape, weight and many other attributes. How do we manage to create a balanced categorization of over 2000 different products?

In order to cover everything from a whole woolly mammoth tusk to a mammoth ivory chess set, we maintain different product categories. Each category has its own logical designation and serves a purpose. We personally inspect, measure, grade and sort every single piece that is being offered for sale on our website. It is a time-consuming, tedious and labour-intensive process. The result of our work is order and clear structure for our customers.

Tusks

We stock natural as well as professionally restored woolly mammoth tusks. All of our tusks are in an immaculate condition – pictures do not do them justice. Our tusks are completely unique, top-of-the-range pieces that are suitable for luxury residences, museums, galleries, distinguished collections etc. We can easily arrange a personal appointment so that you can personally inspect and view these mesmerizing artefacts of our natural history.

Pieces

This is the place for a large range of natural mammoth ivory pieces of all shapes and sizes. Some pieces are large, round cross-cut sections of mammoth tusks while others are semicircular or triangular in shape. Most of our mammoth ivory pieces offer a balanced mix of bark and ivory to work with. Segments

Here you will find a wide range of pre-cut, mostly white mammoth ivory pieces. For the purpose of differentiation, we call them “segments”. All mammoth ivory segments stem from the inner core of different mammoth tusks and are in natural condition. These are exceptional pieces of the highest calibre. All of our segments have dried for years under controlled temperature conditions, offering the best white mammoth ivory on the market.

Offcuts 

Within this category you will find raw, untreated mammoth ivory offcuts from our workshop. We group matching pieces into different lots in order to offer a wide variety of choices. Each piece within each lot is carefully inspected before being grouped according to its shape, quality, weight, size and other attributes. Some of our offcuts offer a mix of ivory and bark, while others have no outer layer of bark. If you ever wanted to work with raw mammoth ivory, this a good place to start.

Scales

Our natural mammoth ivory scales (sometimes also referred to as “handles” or “grips”) are all pre-cut and matching. The quality of our scales is exceptionally high, offering a vast variety of different sizes and colours. Our scales are highly valued by knifemakers, bladesmiths, gunsmiths and other amateur as well as professional artisans.

Mammoth Molar

This category contains whole mammoth molars (also referred to as “mammoth teeth”), pre-cut blocks and scales as well as smaller pieces. All mammoth molar pieces are professionally stabilized in order to enable you to work with it. Our stabilized mammoth molar is ready for further steps of precision-cutting, drilling, polishing or whatever else your projects require.

Bark Offcuts

This category offers a wide variety of natural mammoth bark offcuts, carefully grouped piece by piece into matching lots. We carefully inspect and group each piece according to its colour, shape, quality, weight and other attributes. Some of our mammoth bark is offered in a completely raw, untreated condition while most of it is clean and covered with a transparent layer of wax. If you ever wished to work with mammoth bark, this is a good starting point.     

Stabilized Ivory

Here you will find a variety of stabilized mammoth ivory pieces: Pre-cut scales, blocks, whole mammoth tusk sections as well as white segments. Our mammoth ivory is professionally stabilized and is a rock-solid material. It is ready for further steps of precision-cutting, drilling, polishing or whatever else your projects require.
