This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the small cracks on the thinner cross-cut section. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. One end was cut at an angle; as a result one side is longer than the other. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This brown mammoth bark is presented in its natural condition - it is not stabilized and / or filled with epoxy. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
