This is an immaculate piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid, completely dry and without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly thinner than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is brown.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
