White mammoth ivory segment

This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid and completely dry. There are a few tiny cracks. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. The colour of the ivory is white. The colour of the outer layer of bark is brown.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
