This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. One cross-cut section is thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. Both cross-cut sections of this piece were cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is yellow-beige.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
